TO WISH DAVID SOUL A HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR THIS YEAR (2014), PLEASE CLICK HERE. THE BELOW IS FROM LAST YEAR. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!
Hello Everybody,
Just got back on the weekend from a fabulous ten-day holiday in the mountains above the Turquoise Coast of Turkey and have just seen the lovely birthday greetings left for me at this site. You guys are too much!
Yes, 70 is a big number, but with the friends and continued support that I’m blessed with from the likes of you, I think I can handle it. It’s like a whole phase of life begins and, aside from a few run-down parts that don’t function quite as well as they used to, I’m doing pretty well.
Hope to see you all in the New Year as I believe Laura has something up her sleeve… we’ll see.
In the meantime, I’m sending out warmest wishes to each and every one of you.
Love,
DAVID
If you don’t see your birthday wish on the list right away, don’t worry. It simply means I haven’t gotten around to posting them. But rest assured they will ALL be posted by the time David reads the page. —Laura
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVID! FROM YOUR FANS BELOW…
Hope you had an amazing day more singing please! You are a legend! Jx
Hi David, I’ve only just found your site so I’m sorry to be posting your birthday wishes late but I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you (& Paul) so much for Starsky & Hutch they were so wonderful to me. I have recently purchased the DVD set at last and I’m currently watching them so I will finally be able to see not only all the episodes I was only ever able to watch once but I will finally get to see the only episode I ever missed, the last one! Someone screwed up the video recorder and I cried for weeks. So I’m savouring them (well you actually). I have long appreciated your music since I had the cassette tape of Playing to an Audience of One & I have now acquired 3 albums of yours. Hope you will be making some more soon. Love Debbie x
Hope you have a wonderful birthday and I love your work!
Laura
I just discovered this site. Wishing all the best in life. I have been a fan since the 70s back in the Philippines. I remember the times then when I would wait for your song “Don’t Give Up On Us Baby ” to be played on the radio. Would you believe I still play that plus ” I wish I was,,, and Going in with My Eyes Open” ? However, now I don;t have to wait ,,,it’s in my Ipod. Thanks to this technology! I’m 53 now and I’m still an avid fan. Hope to see you in a concert. I’m here now in Northern California as a Special Education Teacher. Hope you can visit here and have a concert. Forever a fan….
Enjoy the journey. Each year is another blessing. Happy Birthday.
…just found this site….way too late for the birthday party. Mr. Soul, you look great! I still listen to “Don’t give up on us baby” and have the album with the same song. You have probably described this in the past but, in the video for that song, what is the meaning of the picture with that man (you?) on the horse on the trail? Thanks. Shelly
